How to Use Vietnamese in PUBG Mobile and Protect Your Account

Install the official PUBG Mobile VN app or change the in-game language, then secure a guest character before switching devices or regional editions.

Table of Contents

For the officially supported Vietnamese release, install PUBG Mobile VN from VNG's verified Google Play or App Store listing. If your existing PUBG Mobile client includes Vietnamese in its language menu, you can switch the interface under Settings without reinstalling. Linking Facebook is an account-protection option; it is not proof that progress will automatically transfer between Global and VN packages.

Option 1: Install the official PUBG Mobile VN app

Confirm that the publisher is VNG Corporation and that the store URL/package is correct. Avoid an APK sent through social media or a site promising UC, skins, or account migration.

The announcement screenshot below is historical. PUBG Mobile VN is now an established regional release, so the old instruction to “wait for an automatic Vietnamese upgrade” no longer applies.

Option 2: Change the language inside the current client

  1. Open the lobby and select Settings.
  2. Look for Language or the language selector in the Basic/Account area.
  3. Choose Vietnamese if it is offered by that package.
  4. Confirm and allow the client to restart or download language resources.

If Vietnamese is not listed, do not download a “language patch.” Use the official VN edition or contact the current publisher. The language-matching preference in matchmaking is separate from the interface language.

Protect a guest account before reinstalling

A guest character may be lost when the app is deleted, its data is cleared, or the device is changed. PUBG Mobile's official lost-account guidance warns that guest records and payment history cannot be restored after an unlinked reinstall.

Before changing apps or devices:

  1. Open the current, working game on the original device.
  2. Record the player ID, character name, server, and package edition.
  3. Save purchase receipts and screenshots of important inventory.
  4. Link a supported account from the in-game Settings screen.
  5. Log out and confirm that the linked method returns to the correct character before deleting anything.

The screenshots below show the older Facebook-linking flow. Current button names and supported providers may differ by platform and region.

1. Open Settings

Sign in to the character you want to preserve, then open the gear/Settings menu.

In the Basic or Account section, choose Facebook/Meta only if that social account is secure and has never been linked to a different PUBG character.

3. Review the authorization

Confirm that the login page belongs to Facebook/Meta and review the requested permissions. Never enter a password into a form opened from an unofficial guide or message.

4. Confirm the linked status

Return to the game and verify that the account area shows the provider as linked.

5. Test the login

After recording the player ID, log out and use the Facebook button to make sure it opens the same character.

Official support currently lists cross-platform social providers such as Meta/Facebook, Apple, X, and Discord, depending on device and availability. Its cross-device linking guide also warns that identical credentials on different social networks are treated as separate game information.

Do not assume Global-to-VN migration

PUBG Mobile Global and PUBG Mobile VN are separate store packages. A social login may protect access within a supported account system, but it does not guarantee that character data, purchases, rank, or inventory will appear in another regional package.

  • Ask in-game support about the exact player ID and source/destination editions.
  • Do not unlink the only working login method.
  • Do not give a support agent or website your social password.
  • Keep the original app until the target edition opens the correct character.

If the language option or linked account behaves unexpectedly, use Settings > Player Support inside the working client before reinstalling.
