How to hide content on Facebook

Instructions for hiding content on Facebook

Step 1:

Users install UnDistracted utility on Chrome according to the link below.

After installation is complete, click on the utility icon at the end of the browser address bar. Here users will see a list of websites where UnDistracted supports content hiding. Sites include Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Nexflix. Each website will have options to hide different content, but there is a general option to block access to that site.

Step 3:

Clicking on Facebook will display a list of hidden content options. We have the option to hide message boards (Hide Feed), hide likes and comment posts (Hide Likes and Comments), hide chat bar (Hide chat Sidebar).

For example, when activating the option to hide comments and likes, the interface will be hidden at the bottom of each post, even on Facebook Fanpage.

Step 4:

With YouTube users have options to hide content on the interface as below.

1. Hide Recommendations: hide suggested videos at the YouTube homepage interface.
2. Hide Sidebar: hide the content toolbar to the left of the interface.
3. Hide Comments: hide comments below each video.
4. Hide Up Next Suggestions: hide suggested videos when watching videos.

For example, with videos with comments like below, to hide just activate Hide Comments.

Immediately all comments below the video were hidden.

You can also enable Hide Up Next Suggestions to hide suggestions for watching videos on the right side of the interface.

Step 5:

When clicking on General Settings, users will have the option to stop all options of hiding active content on different websites. Thus, we do not need to open each service to deactivate hidden content previously set.
