How to adjust the screen brightness of Windows 10 on the desktop

A file with .exe extension will be downloaded. You do not need to install anything, just click on the file to run the program immediately. You may see a warning that Windows Defender SmartScreen says it cannot verify the application. Click More info , then select Run Anyway to launch the program.

Once the program has run, you will see a small sun icon in the system tray. If you don't see it, click the small arrow next to the icon row on the taskbar to search.

Click on this sun icon, you can easily change the screen brightness at will. However, this application will not run at the same time the computer boots by default, so if you want it to be available on the taskbar, right-click the sun icon and click Run at Startup to not. Start the application manually.
