Google's Gemini responded with strange, meaningless words repeated over and over for some users
Recently, some users noticed that Google Gemini was giving repeated text, strange characters, and complete nonsense in some responses.
Google's Gemini chatbot is a useful tool for getting quick answers or handling complex tasks. However, like any Generative AI, it is also susceptible to the problem of illusion. But recently, a strange error has gone beyond the norm.
Over the past few days, some Gemini users have been experiencing issues where the chatbot spits out things that really don't make sense. In some cases, this is a series of repeated words or more random phrases and is filled with strange characters. The answer is long and in some cases has nothing to do with the query given. Some characters also suggest that these are tokens with a strange format that makes the answer unreadable.
The cause of the issue remains unclear, but seeing it happen in a number of cases on Reddit over the past week makes it clear that this is a new problem and most likely on Google's part. Additionally, a common problem is that some strange Gemini responses begin with 'Full' or 'Full bor'.
The issue occurs both when experiencing Gemini on the web and on Android mobile devices.
The good news is that in most cases, it seems like these are just random occurrences. Gemini then responded as usual.
