After Facebook, Instagram is also about to feature the memory of the deceased

According to estimates, more than 30 million people on Facebook account belongs to the deceased. Today, many people see social media as a 'second home' and spend hours online every day. When a social network user accidentally dies, how to handle their social networking account properly is also a big problem.

To solve this problem, a few years ago, Facebook proposed two solutions: Delete or be kept as a memorial, depending on the decision of relatives or friends of the deceased. Maintaining a deceased person's account will help those who live there to remember and feel less grief.

The feature is also likely to soon be brought to Instagram, the world's third-largest social networking platform, according to the latest findings from the famous 'reverse engineering' hacker Jane Manchun Wong.

Specifically, this female hacker posted a tweet that said she discovered Instagram was silently testing a feature called Remembering, so that people can remember the deceased's account similar to that on Facebook. To illustrate, Jane Manchun Wong also included a picture showing the gray Remembering text above her account name.

With a large user base, Instagram should have had this feature for a long time. If it works the same as the memorial feature on Facebook, the account of the deceased will be locked out of the login and all settings. However, the content shared by the deceased will remain and be visible to the person who has followed that account.
