Acer will introduce laptops using touch keys later this year

An unnamed source told Taiwan's Digitimes magazine that Acer is trying to build the world's first laptop with a borderless display and virtual keyboard.

To get the screen without fringe, Acer used Corning's reinforced mirror surface and printed the color palette directly on the back of it. This design also reduces the thickness of the machine and other materials.

It is known that Corning's technology uses a thicker layer of protection than other brands, so it is difficult to break. It was used in Motorola Droid phones and Dell Adamo laptops. Acer even tried to make this computer as thin as possible by removing a hard keyboard but instead a virtual qwerty keyboard. The product is expected to be released in the second half of this year.
