Acer launches Aspire V5 and M5 touch version

Not just outside the race to equip a laptop with a touch screen, Acer recently announced a touchscreen version of its current two laptops, Aspire V5 and M5. Both machines will go on sale in October.

The new M5 that Acer has released is the touchscreen version of the ultrabook M5 that Acer introduced earlier this year. Although the old version has 2 models of 14 and 15 inches, the touch screen model only has a 14-inch screen (resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels). Machine uses Core i5 chip, 6 GB RAM, HDD 500 GB hard drive with 20 GB SSD to help the machine boot faster. Like the old version, the touch version is advertised for an 8-hour battery life.

Although standard ultrabook but M5 still equipped with optical drive. The machine has a thickness of 2.05 cm. The regular M5 version costs $ 700, and the touchscreen version is sold at a starting price of $ 800.

The other product is the V5 (code name V5-471P) with a 14-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The highest configuration includes 8 GB RAM, 750 GB HDD, Core i5-3317UB chip. This model has a starting price of 750 USD. The regular version, without a touch screen, has a starting price of 500 USD.
