Acer, Asus double the amount of touch laptops

Currently, both Acer and Asus are collaborating with ODM to develop a new generation of laptops equipped with touch screens. According to information from Digitimes equipment suppliers, Asus and Acer will increase the production of touch screen computers this year and not only stop at 5% compared to expected earlier this year.
The new screen is said to increase the thickness of the notebook to between 0.7 and 1.5 cm with higher production costs. According to Digitimes , the price of notebooks using touch screens is about 75 to 150 USD higher for 13-inch sizes; while 15-inch screens will cost from 82 USD to 164 USD depending on the market.
Recently, major computer manufacturers such as HP, Dell, and Lenovo have also begun to produce a new generation of new laptops on the official release of the new operating system from Microsoft expected in the third quarter this year.
