Why is ice water white and pelleted?

When using ice cubes taken from the refrigerator, you will find them white. But when using the stones in the shops, they are as clear as mirrors. Why is there this difference?

When using ice cubes taken from the refrigerator, you will find them white. But when using the stones in the shops, they are as clear as mirrors. Why is there this difference?

  1. Why are there three plugs and three legs in the power plug?
  2. Why is the power line always sagging?

The first reason is the quality of water used to freeze.

There is a fact that the water we drink contains some impurities that cannot be observed with the naked eye. These impurities are mostly harmless but also beneficial to our health. They bring their own flavor to the water.

Lime, calcium, fluoride, nitrate, magnesium and some other organic substances that cannot be removed by conventional filtration methods are the most common impurities found in tap water. Therefore, when the water freezes, the impurities distributed evenly in the water tend to gather in the middle to create the milky color of the stone.

The second reason is temperature and cooling method. Even if you use bottled water or ice-cooled boiled water, those ice cubes are still milky, not pure.

When you put water in the freezer, it will reduce the temperature quickly. At this point, small air bubbles formed from water-soluble air trapped in the crystal structure will be pushed towards the center of the cube when the icy water around them causes a milky color.

Professional stone manufacturers use single-layer freezing to ensure that the stone blocks are high transparency. This method of freezing water in very slow mode prevents bubbles from forming in the stone while they have time to escape from the water block making the stones created in a mirror.
