Eternal cold ice or insoluble ice is also known by other names such as Cooling Cubes, Scotch Rochs or Whiskey Stones, invented in 2007 by Dave Laituri, a living designer in Massachusetts, USA. After the announcement, permanent ice cold is rapidly being widely used in the US and European countries.

Insoluble ice has the same shape and size as normal cold ice cubes, each weighing 70 grams, 25mm x 19mm in size.

The freezing time of permanent stone varies, depending on the brand and the condition but is in the range of 40 to 60 minutes. There are unknown insoluble stones that can only be kept cold for about 10 minutes but products from reputable brands of Japan and the United States can extend the cold-keeping time to several hours.

After use, simply wash the permanent stone with clean water for reuse in subsequent times.
