Top 10 Google search tips

Google is a frequently used search engine and it has search tips that will save you time. The following article shares 10 effective Google search tips

In the age of advanced technology and high speed Internet connections, information about almost anything can be found. But we have to sift huge amounts of knowledge to get the information we need and this takes quite a bit of time, which can take hours instead of minutes. So, there are always the best practices when searching on Google, helping you to find information in just a few clicks.

1. Search within a certain website

Sometimes you read an interesting article on a website, then you want to find it again to share with your friends, or simply to reread. The easiest way to find that information is to search the website. To do this, type in the website address, then type in keywords or phrases from the article. The article you are looking for will appear immediately.

2. This or that

Sometimes we are not sure we remember the exact information or name we should be looking for. It's very simple, just put between those options where you suspect the word "or". After that, it will be very easy for you to choose the results you are looking for.

3. Search using synonyms

If you want to find websites related to a specific issue, rather than just searching for a specific phrase, just add the symbol "~" to your search keywords.

For example, if you search for the phrase "healthy ~ food", you will get results about healthy eating, recipes as well as healthy eating options.

4. When you forget many words

When you have forgotten more than one word in the middle, type the first and last word, then put the word "AROUND (the number of words close to the number of words you forgot) in the middle. For example," I wandered AROUND (4) cloud "(title of a poem), the result will return" I wandered lonely as a cloud ".

5. Use timeframes

Sometimes we need to find events that happen over a certain period of time. To do this, you can add the time period you need to search using the ellipses in the middle of the period. For example, if you want to find scientific discoveries in the 20th century, you can write as shown above.

To search for keywords or the title of an article, type "intitle" before the search term (there should be no spaces between these two terms). To find words from the URL, use "inurl".

8. The whole phrase

Bringing the entire search term in quotation marks is the easiest and most effective way to find something specific and in the correct order you typed it.

For example, if you type in a search term without quotes, the search engine will show results where the words in the search term appear on websites in no particular order.

Conversely, if you include quotes, the search results will show the correct words in the order you typed them. This is a great way to find lyrics if you only know one sentence.

9. The search words are not important

To remove unimportant search terms from your search terms, simply write the minus sign in front of the word. For example, if you want to find a page with interesting books, but you have no intention of buying them, you could write like this:

When you cannot remember a keyword, phrase or number of keywords you are looking for, you can use the "*" sign instead. The results returned will have options that contain the term you are looking for.
