Video copyright disputes occur regularly on YouTube due to the strict control of the world's largest online video sharing service. However, not all times of copyright complaints are accurate. Because sometimes the content is created by you but will still be reported by other members. If you accidentally fall into that situation, you can follow the steps below to temporarily "untie" your video.
Step 1 : Click on the link in the email sent from YouTube indicating your video was reported.
Step 2 : At the website that opens in the above link, click on the content that YouTube thinks you violate.
Step 3 : On the next page, check the box I have a license or write permission from the proper rights holder to use this material and click Continue to let YouTube know: I have the appropriate permission or license from the copyright holder to use content.
Step 4 : Confirm your selection by checking the box I am sure that I have a license or write the permission, and I want to dispute this claim , then click Continue .
Step 5 : Tick the content of the dispute to confirm that you can use it and the reporter makes a false report. Then enter a brief explanation in the input box below and tick the 2 confirmation boxes at the end. Note that the explanation explains why you think the wrong report is incorrect and that your video can work properly without affecting copyright. Enter your name in the box as shown below and click Continue .
Step 6 : Finally, review your entire claim dispute and click Submit Dispute .
After taking the above steps, YouTube promises to respond to your complaint within 30 days. During that time, your video will still be played normally, the only drawback is that the monetization feature cannot be enabled.
