12 years after being acquired by Google, YouTube now has a new face that is hard to recognize compared to the old days. In the development journey, YouTube gradually separated into many separate products, targeting different objects and purposes. This is a list of all YouTube products and description about them.
YouTube
This is the main YouTube application that you still know and use daily with the content repository of all topics.
YouTube Music
Born in 2015, YouTube Music focuses on music. This service is only available in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea. In the future, it will expand to other markets such as Canada, England, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
YouTube Music is quite similar to Google Play Music application and perhaps in the future it will be a replacement. Currently both still exist in parallel.
YouTube Go
Google launched the offline YouTube Go app in India last year as a beta and officially revealed 130 markets in the past few months. The application is only available on Android, redesigned from the beginning, towards places with poor Internet and therefore, not very popular in markets like the US.
YouTube Kids
YouTube Kids launched in early 2015, currently available in nearly 30 markets around the world. Although promising content that is child-friendly, it's not always the case. The application still faces some controversy and litigation regarding this issue.
YouTube Gaming
Launched in 2015, this app is the place to watch other gamers play games or play their own games.
YouTube VR
Launching the 2016 Daydream View VR headset, Google launched the YouTube VR application to bring a virtual reality experience to YouTube videos.
YouTube Studio
Formerly known as Creator Studio, YouTube Studio was released more and more widely this year after the beta period. The application has a suitable interface for those who specialize in creating content, managing their videos and channels, in addition to tracking parameters, viewers' comments, etc.
Currently, it is the official YouTube application, showing that Google is trying to create a unified ecosystem, targeting many users in the YouTube community.
