Storage capacity under 32 GB still updates Windows 10

Most Windows 10 computers will be supported by Microsoft

In April, Microsoft updated the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 10. Accordingly, the minimum storage capacity for the computer to update version 1903 (Windows 10 May 2019 Update) is 32 GB instead of 16. GB for 32 bit systems, and 20 GB for 64 bit systems.

However, according to a new support document, this minimum storage capacity requirement only applies to new computers. That means that a 32-bit computer with 16 GB of internal user memory will still be supported for updates. This is pretty good news for users who own a cheap Windows 10 tablet with storage capacity under 32 GB.

Microsoft supports most Windows 10 computers that update version 1903

At the present time, only Windows 10 systems with new Intel Clover Trail chips cannot update new features. Version 1607 is the last version that these devices have been updated and will continue to be supported by Microsoft with cumulative updates until 2026.

Currently, systems with such low storage capacity are almost no longer used. Therefore, the requirements that Microsoft poses only affect a very small number of users.
