Skype 5.8.0.865 update improves performance, stability and is ready to run on the upcoming OS X Mountain Lion operating system.

This means that when Mountain Lion is officially released, users can be sure that Skype 5.8 will run as expected on this operating system.

According to Skype's website, Skype 5.8 for Mac has a feature that allows users to separate their list of contacts (contacts) from the current Skype window, similar to the way users can on Windows for a long time.

This feature is very handy because users can hide-display contacts while keeping the chat interface " open," separate from the contacts.

Users can also configure, resize windows to their liking, display contacts by online status, family members or colleagues.

Skype also said that Skype for Mac OS X will soon have the ability to open various chat sessions in different windows. Skype decided to add this feature to the software because users have high demand.
