Lenovo upgraded its two-screen laptop

Lenovo's 17-inch ThinkPad W line will have two new members, the W701 and the W701ds dual-screen laptop.

Lenovo's 17-inch ThinkPad W line will have two new members, the W701 and the W701ds dual-screen laptop.

W701 and W701ds will own Intel's Core i series processors (more information is expected to be Core i7 chips), NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M or 3800M graphics cards, 4 DDR3 slots to boost RAM memory up to 16 GB with a traditional hard drive with a maximum capacity of 500GB or a solid-state hard drive with a maximum capacity of 256GB.

Both machines will have the option of WUXGA standard screen (1,920 × 1,200 pixel resolution) with 280 nit brightness or WXGA + standard (1,440 x 900 pixel resolution) 200 nit brightness. Particularly W701ds will have a second screen 10.6 inches in size.

In addition, the duo also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DVI, VGA, Display Port, Firewire, 5 USB ports (including a standard USB 3.0 port and a USB / eSATA combo port), ExpressCard, 5-type memory card reader, fingerprint recognition function and 2-megapixel camera.

W701 will be sold at a starting price of about 2,000 USD, W701ds currently has no official price information but it will certainly be much higher than the W701. Both machines will be officially sold on February 23.
