Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 with Core M Broadwell chip on the shelf
Introduced in September, the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 hybrid tablet is now available for $ 979 (20.8 million).
The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 is a hybrid tablet running the Windows operating system, using an Intel Core M Broadwell processor and having a removable keyboard dock that allows the device to function as a laptop.
Like its predecessor, the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 is also a high-end device aimed at business users but at a more affordable price. While the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 costs $ 979 ( 20.8 million ), the early Lenovo ThinkPad Helix costs up to $ 1679 (35.7 million) at the time of its launch.
In terms of configuration, the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 is equipped with an 11.6 inch screen with Full HD1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, using Intel Core M 5Y10 processor, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB internal memory. It supports 802.11ac WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, keyboard dock and a touch pen. In addition, the device also owns USB 3.0 port, microSD card slot, HDMI port, stereo speakers. The device weighs 793 grams without the keyboard dock.
Lenovo said it also offers a higher-priced ThinkPad Helix 2 with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal memory and faster Core M 5Y70 processor.
Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 is considered one of the first products to use Intel's Core M chip. This is a new generation of chips with better energy saving capabilities than the previous Atom chip generation, while also providing superior graphics capabilities and productivity. If used as a tablet, the ThinkPad Helix 2 is capable of operating continuously for 8 hours, and when used with a keyboard dock, the time can be up to 12 hours.
