Instagram currently allows 20 photos to be shared per post

Have you ever wished you could share more memories on Instagram at once? The good news is that Instagram is increasing the maximum number of photos and videos that can be included in a post.

Expanded photo and video limits in posts will be rolled out to all users starting August 8

Picture 1 of Instagram currently allows 20 photos to be shared per post

Until now, a standard Instagram post could include up to 10 items. The post's 'carousel' of photos and videos cannot be expanded further. So even if you have more great content to share, it's not possible to fit them into a single post.

But starting August 8, 2024, according to a report by The Verge, Instagram will roll out support for sharing up to 20 items at a time. That's right, posts can now contain twice as many photos and videos as before. This feature is rolling out to all users, but it may take some time before you see it enabled on your account.

Most posts probably don't need to include up to 20 photos, but it's nice to have more flexibility than before to share 11, 14, or whatever number of items you want. While being forced to choose 10 favorite photos to post at a time helps with discipline, it's helpful to have a little more freedom to be flexible in each situation.
