How to Unfollow People on Instagram
Today's TipsMake will show you how to unfollow all the people you follow on Instagram, both on mobile devices and computers. Instagram limits the number of people you can follow/unfollow per hour and doesn't integrate any way to unfollow all accounts at once. So, if you use a third-party app to unfollow a large number of users, your account is likely to be temporarily locked.
On iPhone and Android operating system
Open Instagram. Instagram is an app that looks like a colorful camera. If you're already logged in, this will take you to the home page.
If you're not logged into Instagram, enter your username (or phone number) and password then tap Login or Sign in .
Click on the personal page icon located in the right corner of the screen.
On your personal page, open the "Following" section. This item is near the top, right corner of the screen. This is the list of people you are following.
The number below the heading represents the number of users you're tracking.
Click the Following button to the right, next to the name of the user you want to unfollow.
At this point, a dialog box will appear on the screen, click Unfollow or Unfollow . So you've unfollowed the person you just selected.
Repeat the above process with each account you follow. After unfollowing all users, your "Following" list will be completely blank.
After unfollowing 200 users, some Instagram accounts – especially new accounts – will ask you to wait an hour (or more) before you can continue.
On Windows and Mac operating systems
Visit https://www.instagram.com/ to go to Instagram's homepage. If you have remembered to log into Instagram on your computer, this will take you to the main news page interface.
If you are not logged in, please enter your username (or phone number) and password to access your account.
Click on Profile to go to your personal page. This is a human-shaped icon located in the upper right corner of the news page.
Click on "Following" to see a list of accounts you're following. This section is located at the top of your profile, right below your username.
The number below the heading represents the current number of users you follow.
Click the Following button to the right of an account name to unfollow that account . At this point , you will see a blue Follow button appear instead of the previous Following button.
Repeat this process for each account in the list. Once completed, your "Following" list will be completely empty.
After unfollowing 200 users, some accounts will ask you to wait an hour (or more) before you can continue.
