How to prevent Widget Stacks automatically changing on iPhone
Widget stacks is a great method for you to use multiple widgets at the same time on the home screen of your iPhone.
However, this feature is annoying for users because it will automatically change the widget according to the time or duration of use of the user. Here's how to prevent iPhone's widget stacks from automatically changing.
Starting with iOS 14, Apple introduced widgets on the home screen of the iPhone . Built-in Smart Stack feature will automatically change the cycle of widgets in the stack. It should have displayed the right widget at the right time. For example, this will show the widget of the Calendar application when you have an upcoming appointment.
Smart Stack is quite useful, but the problem is that every widget you create manually will have the Smart Rotate feature enabled. If you are re-tuning the home screen with a lot of widget stacks, consistency will be your thing.
Disabling Smart Rotate will prevent the widget stack changing automatically .
Go to the home screen of the iPhone and press and hold on any empty part of the display. Now, click on the plus icon '+' in the upper left corner. You will see the widget selection screen. Tap an app to see the widget types available for that app.
Next, choose the size of the widget (small, medium or large) and tap on Add Widget to add the widget to the home screen.
To create a widget stack, you need more than one widget. You can add up to 10 widgets to a stack.
Again, press the plus icon '+' from the home screen to switch to the editing screen and select an application. Select the widget you want to add to the stack. The widget must be the same size as the one already available. Now, long press to preview widget.
Keep your finger on the screen, drag the new widget over the old widget.
Then, release your finger. So you have created a widget stack. You can repeat this process to add more widgets to the stack.
Next, to turn off Smart Rotate, click on the widget when the home screen is in edit mode.
If you're not in edit mode on the main screen, hold and hold the widget stack and select Edit Stack.
From the top of the screen, select Smart Rotate to turn it off.
That stack widget won't change automatically on your home screen anymore.
