According to SlashGear on 26.3, this is considered a rather unique feature to help users' avatar become lively, and also easily compete with Facebook, when social network Facebook does not support this feature.

To exploit this feature, users simply go to their personal Google+ page, click on the View profile option and select Change profile photo .

It is known that this is a feature that first appeared on MySpace social network (USA).
