According to TechEu, Siegfried Vater, investor and partner of Fayteq said: the company provides "advanced technologies in the field of offline and real-time video editing, eliminating the boundary between reality and theory". .

Facebook confirmed this acquisition in an email sent to Mashable, but the spokesperson declined to provide further details about what the company will bring to Facebook.

Fayteq fits Facebook's focus on video and augmented reality. CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave a presentation on a mixed real world at F8, Facebook's annual developer conference in April.
