Pressing F5 or Refresh continuously does not make your computer run faster, people are misunderstanding Windows
Whenever a computer feels slow, most Windows users often have the habit of refreshing the interface, with the shortcut key F5 wishing the device to run faster. But does this action really work or is it meaningless and misunderstood long ago? Find out what the Refresh button is, from where to get the answer to the above question.
The Refresh button is a default menu, when you right-click it will appear on the computer's general interface. The refresh button has existed for many generations and the Windows version and now to Windows 10 it remains in its place.
Whenever the computer feels slow, most users will have the habit of pressing the right mouse button and Refreshing a few flashes. Up to now, no one clearly remembers when users had this habit.
In fact, the Refresh button is designed for use in the following cases:
- Refresh the displayed content. This is most evident in the case when there is a change in the content of the file or folder but the computer has not been updated and displayed.
- Rearrange software icons in computer interface.
- The interface icon is faulty, does not function properly or is not displayed.
Certainly many users have never hit the Refresh button to perform the above purposes. Now we know that the F5 computer has never been made so that the computer can run faster or solve lag / snatching. The idea of ever being F5 is wrong.
But a strange thing is that the user never refreshes once, even though they are sure there is no problem with the computer, always perform that operation several times before stopping. The reason is not only because misunderstanding that operation helps the computer run fast, the more you do, the faster the speed is improved but also involves a psychological behavior in the human brain. Specifically, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) makes us obsessed, worried about something, and has to perform certain compulsive actions to relieve stress.
In addition, another reason is that users mimic the habits of technology workers when these people also accidentally have Refresh habits many times.
In short, even if you press the Refresh button many times, it will not help your slow computer run faster.
