Experience the timeline feature of Windows 10

Timeline allows users to view the history of activities on multiple devices, easily working from one device to the other is very convenient. But the truth may not be like a dream.

One of the interesting demos that Microsoft introduced at the Build 2017 conference in May is probably the cloud related feature. Microsoft introduced new features for OneDrive Files On-Demand (or Placeholders), Clipboard with cloud help, improved integration between Windows 10 PC and Android / iOS, Windows Timeline phones. Microsoft announced earlier this week that the company will not release Timeline with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update update later this year, instead, it will launch in the next update of Windows 10 around March or April 2018.

Microsoft actually began testing some Timeline-related features for Android and iOS users. If you are using the latest version of Cortana beta on Android, you can use Recent Activities from PC to access all the web sites you have visited on Microsoft Edge of PC. This feature allows viewing the history of a certain day, and is a small part of the Timeline.

Accessing the new Web sites on the Edge of Android and iOS will be a useful feature for those who use Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 devices, fixing users who cannot access activities on Microsoft Edge like bookmarks, history . when transferring devices because the browser is not multi-platform designed.

This feature is part of Pick Up Where You Left Off which began appearing on Windows 10 Creators Update earlier this year but Microsoft is planning to take another step with Timeline in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. When Timeline comes out, you will be able to continue working on websites and applications from one Windows 10 PC to another Windows 10 PC. For example, when writing an email on a laptop, you can continue writing that email when you switch to a PC.

Currently, when Timeline is temporarily postponed, some features will probably force you to wait longer. However, Windows Insiders will test Timeline immediately after Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is released to the public.

Part of the Timeline is already visible in the internal build of Windows 10 but currently the user experience is still not good. The design of effects and some other problems are far from what we see in Build 2017. The demo in Build 2017 is mostly just the ideal product and in fact will be quite different.

You can try the Windows Timeline experience now by downloading Cortana's latest beta update on Android here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana . Don't forget to join the Cortana beta testing program ( https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.microsoft.cortana ) to get this new feature.
