Many users complained of shaking their hands when touching the 9400 Dell computer or the aluminum case like the XPS M1330, XPS M1530 . but the company said the incident was not dangerous.
" The sensation of electric shock may occur when you connect devices to a Dell computer or printer, or touch the metal part of the connected device, " the company explained. " That voltage doesn't hurt the user ."
Since the beginning of this year, it has been discovered that the voltage problem with some Dell models and any device that uses the AC adapter in a situation that does not connect to the ground to generate electricity. One test showed that the XPS M1530 surface gave a voltage of 100 volts. Even when they use a 3-pin plug - the standard condition for eliminating the problem - but still feel the numbness from the electric shock. For 1.5 years, Dell has only shipped computers with 2-pin plugs.
