Android grew strongly in many markets

The latest statistics of consumer data analysis company Kantar Worldpanel show that Android has achieved strong growth in many markets in the last few months.

Statistics were collected by Kantar within 3 months and ended on 7/2014. Accordingly, in the large US market, Andoid increased by 11.4% compared to the same period last year and now accounts for 62.9% market share of mobile operating system in this country. Meanwhile, iOS has dropped by 11.8% and currently only accounts for 30.9% ( equal to half compared to Android ).

The growth of Android in other fish markets in 3 months ( according to statistics ) is also very impressive. In particular, in the Mexican market, Android currently accounts for 80.6% market share ( up 17.6% ), this figure in China is 84.6% ( up 8.4% ). In contrast to Android, iOS and Windows Phone fell 5.6% and 1.5%, respectively.

The explanation of the reason for the strong growth of Android in the Asian market in the past Kantar said that it is due to the growth of market share of indigenous handset manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Huawei ( accounting for 31, 6% market share of Chinese market ).
