While Android 5.0 is being deployed for devices, information about Android 5.1 updates has begun to leak.
While Android 5.0 is being deployed for devices, information about Android 5.1 updates has begun to leak.
The above information comes from the discussion of two Google engineers at the Devoxx conference in the Netherlands. Android software engineer Romain Guy , and Google's senior software engineer Chet Haase discussed Android Lollipop MR1 ( Maintenance Release 1 ) update for Nexus 5.
A report from the Netherlands also confirmed that MR1 is the first test version of Android 5.1. This is consistent with the roadmap to update previous Android versions of Google, for example Android 2.0 MR1 later becomes Android 2.1, Honeycomb Android 3.0 MR1 becomes Android 3.1.
According to a screen shot at the Devoxx conference, Android 5.1 doesn't have much change compared to version 5.0 and continues to be called Lollipop. Of course, some new features will appear in this update.
