6 highlights prominently during Apple's WWDC 2018 event

This morning (June 5, 2018) in Vietnam time, Apple launched the WWDC annual event 2018, a program for programmers at McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, California. Here, CEO Tim Cook introduced new points in major software updates such as iOS 12, macOS 10.14 .

Below are the outstanding announcements during the WWDC event this morning:

iOS 12

Apple has announced the next iOS update and included new features. The most prominent feature is the Digital Health Monitoring Panel, to help users avoid excessive machine usage.

Do Not Disturb - Free to disturb feature, users can set to hide all notifications in preset time. In addition, notifications will be grouped into different topics to help users not be confused by dozens of individual notification messages.

On iOS 12, users can set the maximum time to use each application during the day. This feature has been included in Android P by Google, but the difference in iOS 12 is that Apple allows users to temporarily extend the time of application usage compared to the limits they have set above. Parents can set these options on remote children's devices on their own devices to manage their usage habits.

Many interesting effects on iOS 12

In the Photos app, the "search suggestions" feature for each specific person, place, or event like Google Photos has appeared. In addition, Apple also learned from Facebook when offering the same new feature "On This Day" to remind users of a photo they had taken many years ago.

The Messages application is upgraded to add some Animoji, sticker, text, and a new drawing tool integrated into the camera. With Memoji, users can create their own Aemoji to customize their faces in any way they want. Animoji can even identify the 'sticking tongue' status and act similarly when you do so.

FaceTime supports group calls up to 32 people. And users can use Animoji or Memoji to express emotions when using FaceTime.

Siri

On iOS 12, Siri is adding a new application called Shortcut that allows suggestions based on analyzing the behavior of using your smartphone. For example, if you go into a movie theater, Siri will prompt you to turn off the phone ring or suggest you call your friends' happy birthday on their birthday.

Even, users can combine these shortcuts with 3rd party devices, such as a Tile device, to ask it to locate a lost item with your own personalized commands.

MacOS Mojave

This new operating system is complemented by the dark mode (Dark Mode) by Apple. When this mode is turned on, the entire toolbar, window background color . turns dark gray to protect the user's eyes. Even MacOS Mojave's Dark Mode also affects the XCode application.

The new Safari web browser has a new feature that prioritizes blocking websites that track users like Facebook Likes and Comments.

The completely redesigned Mac App Store app store highlights the preview videos of app features, reviews, and Editor's Choice options.

Looking ahead, some apps including Office 365, Lightroom CC and BBEdit will be available on the Mac App Store.

Desktop Stacks feature helps to clean up the messy desktop of users by grouping files of the same format into separate folders. With one click, PDFs, images, videos . will be placed in separate folders.

Even without having to open QuickTime as before, you can still record a quick screen movie from the keyboard shortcut.

In addition, Apple also revealed an interesting new tool that allows you to synchronize your computer with your phone, from which you can take photos and automatically add them to your documents.

WatchOS 5

With health and sports tracking features, the new watchOS 5 allows you to challenge your friends with competitions that can last up to 7 days. When you start campaigning, the practice tracking feature will automatically activate, not having to turn on manually.

Apple TV 4K

Dolby Atmos, the popular theater sound technology that will appear on Apple TV 4K and iTunes will also be updated by Apple in this audio collection next. Dolby Atmos will be free to integrate into movies, TV shows, and music videos.

Apple TV will also offer a "Zero Sign-On" feature, a paid TV account login system that allows users to automatically log in to their streaming account without a second confirmation step.
