Apple's WWDC Conference 2018 will take place on June 4, what can we expect?
The annual WWDC 2018 Global Development Conference of Apple will take place on June 4 at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose. In this event, all information about the operating system, software applications for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, HomePod speakers and even Apple TV transmitters will be revealed. Some of the latest hardware products were also introduced.
Here are some key points to look forward to at this event:
Software: iOS 12 and the new Mac operating system
At the WWDC event, Apple will often disclose information about new software. And probably this time the new operating system of the iPad and iPhone will be iOS 12 will be announced by Apple. Gesture navigation has been introduced to the iPhone X by Apple, so it is possible that we will see that feature developed further in the next few days.
According to The Information, developers will be given Apple control over the near-field communication (NFC) chip in the iPhone. This will help activate more Apple Pay features, including the ability to pay for public transport and smart unlocking.
In addition, it is likely that Apple will introduce a new version of macOS to last year's macOS High Sierra with a new name. Apple Watch and Apple TV may also be updated with new software.
Siri virtual assistant
There are many signs that Apple is seeking to make Siri smarter, comparable to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
Currently, Siri still cannot hear commands correctly to control Apple TV, only provide users with search results, but cannot provide answers when asked. After WWDC 2018 these Siri restrictions will be improved.
Hardware: There may not be many new changes
Apple recently introduced new basic iPad models in March, so it may not be possible for the new iPad Pro to be released during the event. Instead, Apple could refresh its Macs with its 9th-generation Core processor.
There are rumors that Apple will release a new 4-inch iPhone model to succeed the iPhone SE 2, but there is still information on this.
Finally, capable of the price and release date of AirPower, the wireless charging plate for Apple Watch, iPhone and AirPod, introduced last September will be announced by Apple in the event.
