Ombibox Timer helps prompt tasks right on Chrome without the need for a separate reminder application.

Omnibox Timer helps prompt tasks right on Chrome without the need for a separate reminder application.

Do you have an important appointment within a few hours? You need a timer to remind you to relax after a long time using the computer. The solution you have come up with is often an alarm or reminder application. However, if you are using Chrome browser, you no longer need another application because Omnibox Timer utility is available for you.

Omnibox Timer

Omnibox Timer is integrated directly into the Omnibox bar (web address entry bar in combination with search capabilities) of Chrome. Installing reminders with this tool is also very easy. In Chrome's Omnibox, type "tm" and press the space bar to open Omnibox Timer.

After Omnibox Timer has been opened, enter the time you want the alarm with " h " to set the number of hours, "m" to set the number of minutes (or leave it blank because by default this utility will prompt for the minute) . After setting the time, you enter the content for this extension to read the notification aloud when it is time for the alarm. Test shows that Omnibox Timer only read English well.

An example of how to set it up makes it easier to imagine: After typing " tm " and pressing the spacebar, you enter " 1h Go Home " or " 10m wake me up" . The first command will alert you after another hour and the following command will alert you after 10 minutes.
