Photoshop tips are very effective in editing, increasing image quality, but should not be overused.

Note, you should make photo edits on different layers so that when you need to be able to do it again and again, it does not affect other editing steps as well as the original image. The steps and examples in the lesson are done with the JPG template file. Download here.

1: Duplicate the photo layer

First, you need to duplicate the original background image by pressing Ctrl + J. This will help you see the results of the following steps more clearly when compared to unedited images. Next, select the new layer and press Ctrl + T to select the frame to edit (or go to the Edit Free Transform menu). On the Option Bar options bar, select the Width screen interface interface by 97%. Press Enter 2 times to complete.

2: Cut the edges

We need to cut the edges, before editing further. You can omit one, two or any edges that are not needed, making the object more prominent. Press the C key to turn on the crop crop tool. 3: Edit the back and body of the portrait

Next, you proceed to 'slimming' the body and back of the portrait. Select the Lasso Tool (shortcut L) and make a selection around your back and hips. Move this selection to a new layer by pressing Ctrl + J and then go to Filter> Liquify.

Adjust the size of the brush bar (the brush size option in the new layer will appear) until it is equal to 1/6 of the selected area size.

4: Soften the body

You manipulate skillfully with the valances of the coat, using the mouse to pull from the edges of the shirt inward. You can make the rear become more flat and sharp. When needed, you can choose a smaller brush. Press Enter when you feel satisfied to finish.

5: Check the results

Zoom close to the image to check between editing and the original image is compatible after applying the Liquify filter.

Next, you zoom the image to 200%. Hold Space button and hover to select face area. Create a new layer by going to Layer> New> Layer (or using Ctrl + Shift + N.

6: 'Clean' the skin

Now is the time to manipulate the face to 'squeeze' the skin to be more shiny. Using the Healing Brush Tool (J), select a small, medium size brush. In the options bar, select the Sample item as All Layers. Before working, you must press the Alt button to execute the command. Next, switch to the Clone Stamp Tool when editing near the mouth and nose. On the options bar, set Sample to CurrentAndBelow.

This step will remove the unrealistic spots on the face, making the skin more smooth.

7: Smooth the rough skin

Click the Create a New Adjustment Layer icon, select Curves from the drop down menu, drag the custom bar upwards to make the image brighter. Click OK and press Ctrl + I to get this custom layer. Set white foreground, you can use soft-edged brushes to edit the neck, to increase the brightness of the shadow.

To smooth the skin, select Layer 3, press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + E to create a new layer that blends in with all the old layers. Go to Filter> Blur> GaussianBlur and set the Radius to 3 pixels. Click OK and add Layer Mask by clicking the Add Layer Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

8. Beautify the face

To change the mask (mask layer) to black and not make the new layer blurry, make sure you select the mask and press Ctrl + L. Next press D to switch the foreground and background to two white colors - default black . Using a soft edge brush (B) of about 50 pixels, apply the brush to the slightly rough skin area, to effectively remove the defects in the black mask layer and reveal a softer layer of smudge. below.

9: Brightens skin

To reduce a girl's dull skin color in a photo, simply click the Click a New Adjustment Layer icon and select Curves from the drop-down menu, click and drag to make the chart bar high. Click OK and then press Ctrl + I to accept this layer adjustment. Set the white foreground color, you can use soft edge brushes to refresh the skin, remove the blemishes on the mask and apply Curves custom to these areas.

10. Adjust the color of the skin

Hold down Ctrl, click on the Curves Layer Mask to apply the selection. When this option is still active, click the Create a New Adjustment Layer icon and select Selective Color from the drop-down menu. In the new dialog, select Yellows from the drop down menu and set Yellow to -100%, Black to -100%. Click OK and select the image as PSD or TIFF format to save the layers, which can be used later.
