Besides computers and monitors, HP recently introduced a unique and secure biometric security solution. That's HP USB Fingerprint Mouse, a peripheral device for computers that has integrated fingerprint sensors.

HP created this unique accessory to provide direct biometric scanning to unlock the PC. This is a useful solution for certain desktop settings and in a multi-user computer environment.

HP USB Fingerprint Mouse has a shape that is no different than other normal laptop mice with two buttons and a scroll wheel. In addition, the device is also equipped with a high-performance laser. The only difference is the location of the square fingerprint scanner, where users can place their fingers to unlock the computer.

The device requires turning on Windows Hello and works by encrypting fingerprints on the mouse itself.

When the fingerprint is scanned, if the mouse only passes the "pass" (correct fingerprint) or "failed" note (incorrect fingerprint) to the computer. If it is 'pass' the computer will unlock.
