How to unlock and play Among Us Beta

In  Among Us , all players will play the role of an astronaut to perform missions to repair spaceships. However, some of the team members are imposters with a plot to destroy and kill the real astronaut. Crewmate's goal is to complete the mission, survive and expel all of the Imposter from the ship. Imp impersonator will quietly sabotage and kill Crewmate to avoid being discovered.

Many players and streamers have created their own rules to make  Among Us more  interesting, "difficult", even changing the main gameplay, including asking all players in a game to agree not to use the live action. Observe the quest bar so that imposters have a higher chance of success. However, such rules are not always clear.

What is Among Us Beta's version?

Anonymous voting:  User has the option to allow anonymous voting. The number of votes is shown while the identity of the viewer is hidden. This option adds another potential jamming point to the "Impostors". Right now, the only way to do so is to turn off the "Confirm removal" option, which verifies the identity of the ejected person.

 Taskbar visibility: The taskbar, which used to appear for members, can now be set to "Meeting" and "Never". This will make it harder for "Crewmates" to keep track of their missions and allow the "Impostors" to better lie about their whereabouts and jobs.

Colorblind support:  Wires have been modified so that they are now correspondingly shaped so color-blind players can pair them. In the current version, colorblind players may still have difficulty dealing with some teammate colors. Fixing the strings is a small first step, and InnerSloth should continue to update and fix the game in these ways.

How to access and play Among Us Beta

Among Us Beta is currently only available to PC users. Therefore, mobile players have not been able to test out new features, unless they have purchased Among US PC on Steam. To access Among Us Beta, players need to open your Steam library and follow these instructions:

1. Right-click  Among Us  in the library.
2. Select  Properties .
3. Click  Betas  on the right side.
4. In  Select the Beta you would like to opt into , choose  public-Beta .

Here, players can close the Properties window when the new version is downloaded and open the game.

Among Us Beta  currently contains a few new features that may become part of the game in future updates.

1. The first is anonymous voting. With this feature, you cannot know who voted for certain types of players during the meeting. This change makes it harder to identify Imp impersonators.
2. Another new feature is allowing players to choose when and how to show the taskbar, including: always on display, show only in meeting or never show. This will be more detrimental to the astronauts, and at the same time, impostors easily hide the moment they pretend to be on a mission.
3. Finally there is color blindness. Now players need to rely on the shape to successfully execute the quest.
