1. What is HOSTS file in Windows?

2. Resetting HOSTS files on Windows 7/8 / 8.1 and 10:

In Windows versions, the HOSTS file is located in the directory:

  1. C: WindowsSystem32driversetc

And to reset this HOSTS file, open Windows Explorer (Windows + E shortcut), type the following command into the address bar and press Enter:

The above command is similar to the access path that contains the HOSTS file in the System32 directory, changing the current HOSTS file name to hosts.bak (enter the Administrator account if the system requires).
