How to create and extract RAR files in Windows 10

What is RAR file?

As discussed in the previous article, the RAR file is a compressed file used to store larger files in an archive, to use less space on the hard drive or move more easily. You can easily recognize RAR files, because it uses the .rar file name extension.

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't add native support for Windows 10, so to manage .rar files, you'll have to use third-party programs. Probably the best program to create and extract .rar archives is WinRar.

You can download it from the official website and although it is a trial version, you don't have to worry, because for some reason, this version will never expire.

How to create a RAR file with WinZip

To create a .rar file using WinZip, follow these steps:
