It seems that Google Chrome's share of the browser market created by Microsoft Edge Chromium makes Google unhappy. Therefore, the technology firm has decided not to allow its Google Drive application to be supported in Edge Chromium. Previously, two Google Meet and Google Doc apps also displayed notifications that were not supported in Edge Chromium.
Currently, if you access Google Drive using the Microsoft Edge Chromium browser, a notification with the "unsupported browser" content will appear, followed by a link to the page displaying the list of browsers. Supported include Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge often. You may encounter problems and errors when working if you continue to use Edge Chromium.
Google also added that they will turn off this notification for users of Chromium Edge in the future.
