Facebook recently announced a purchase program for users who are willing to provide sound recordings for the company. The purpose of purchasing Facebook user voices is to improve their voice recognition system.

Previously, Facebook and many other technology companies in the world have been discovered to illegally record a user's voice. So this new move by Google is supposed to avoid trouble.

This program of buying voices of Facebook is called 'Pronunciations', which belongs to Viewpoints market research project. Facebook will ask the eligible people, asking them to record the phrase 'Hey Portal' with the name of a friend in your friends list. For each friend, the user has to say 2 times.

Each record like that, Facebook will give users 200 points. When users gain 1,000 points, Facebook will pay them $ 5 via PayPal. Facebook said each account has the opportunity to 'sell' up to 5 recordings.

Facebook confirmed that the voice recordings it bought from its users would not be connected to the account provided by the user. At the same time, activities on the Viewpoints market research project and other Facebook-owned services will not be shared without permission.
