" Interest List " is the function name that Facebook has just published, allowing users to create lists containing celebrity accounts or business pages (Fan Pages) to Follow new updates from them. Simple to understand, this is a tool that allows to reorganize dense news feeds if your Facebook account has too many friends and likes to like many different pages.

Create groups through the Interests list to organize the news stream to make it easier to update information
For example, you create a list called " News " and enter the Facebook Fan Page pages you have in your account into this list to keep track of new news. In addition, it is also possible to create a "My Star " list containing your favorite stars' Facebook accounts to track their updates. Both business fan pages or personal profiles can be imported into the favorites list.

Facebook also allows you to enter your friends in your Friends list into " Favorites list ". At the same time, instead of "taking a break" with a person, you can still bring them into the " No longer interested " group in Interest List.

When a user joins a Interest List, the top news from each favorite group will appear in that user's news feed.

This is the latest move from Facebook after converting Timeline interface for business pages (Fan Page) last week. While Facebook is already in the top position, Facebook continues to provide tools to support functions according to user trends. Interest List will help Facebook keep users staying longer on the page.

How to create Interest List

Visit Interest List on Facebook, click the " Create List " button, a new window will appear. There will be three parts here:

  1. Pages : displays the pages you love in your account.
  2. Subscriptions : displays the list of accounts you are following.
  3. Friends : a list of all friends in Facebook contacts.
  4. Selected : displays a list of the selected sites, accounts or friends.

Click Next to continue after selecting. An interface displays three modes for you to choose and the right pane is a list of selected friends or business pages.

  1. Public : anyone can see the list and register to participate to update news from this group.
  2. Friends : Only friends in your contacts will see this list and register for participation.
  3. Only Me : only you can see who the list includes.

Select one of the three options above and press " Done " to finish. The list will be created in Interests section, displayed in the left column in the Home section on Facebook (under Favorites, Friends, Groups, Apps lists). To put a list on the " Favorites " group at the top of the left column, simply hover over the list and click the button with the "pen" icon, click " Add to Favorites ".
