When information about the mask made it difficult for smartphone users, Huami, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, announced that it was researching a mask that allows you to unlock the device with Face ID without having to remove the mask. .

Amazfit Aeri has a transparent design. Huami said that this mask is made of anti-fog material, which helps unlock the device easily without any obstacles. The mask even has built-in ultraviolet light for self-sterilization when you plug the USB Type-C cable into the connector on the side of the mask.

This unique mask uses removable air filters and lasts up to 6 weeks before needing to be replaced. The ability to reuse many of these filters is thanks to ultraviolet disinfection technology.

Usually an N95 respirator only has the best protection within 8 hours before replacing it. So a mask that has a reusable filter for more than a month is definitely good news.

However, it is important that Huami does not disclose whether the Amazfit Aeri respirator meets the standards of protection such as the N95.

Amazfit Aeri has a modular design, allowing users to add accessories such as eye masks or fans to wear during exercise without worrying about asphyxiation.

Huami said the company had started producing Amazfit Aeri prototypes but it would have to wait at least 6 months to a year for the product to be available on the market. This is a fairly long time but it is definitely necessary because it is not known when the pandemic will end and wearing a mask has long been a habit of Asian people.
