Brett explained that Jose contacted him via Facebook Messenger and made a suggestion that he would be interested if the Facebook post wanted 20,000 likes.
Brett, then bargained down 10,000 likes. After a negotiation, both of them closed at 15,000.
In the post, Brett shared that "It will be difficult but it can still be done."
Lieutenant Bart Barown said, Joe had this idea when he found Torrington Police Department's fanpage. While on duty at night, Brett received a message through Joe's Facebook Messenger. He asked, he was wanted so why not upload his picture. Both debated quite a long time and finally ended up with 15,000 likes on Facebook.
Brett has called on people to like, share Jose Simms wanted poster on every social networking platform. And now, the post has received more than 19,000 likes, not to mention 4200 shares and nearly 1000 comments. Joe Simms lost.
Jose Simms is wanted on charges of repeatedly disrupting public order and storing marijuana.
