Facebook vulnerabilities allow users to receive millions of virtual likes

A Facebook vulnerability allows about one million fake and fake accounts to create at least 100 million likes and comments, making them appear more on News Feed and getting more views.

Researchers from the University of Iowa in the United States and Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan have discovered websites that operate collusion networks to create free virtual likes.

Collusion networks are very large, allowing members to receive multiple likes from other members of the network.

Facebook posts receive many likes that are more likely to be placed in someone else's feed. This means that users with fake likes can eventually generate significant attention and influence.
