Strangely, the 100-year-old village has no mosquitoes, so far there is no explanation

Ding Wuling Village, is one of the most mysterious villages in China because there have not been any mosquitoes here for about 100 years.

Like many other villages in China, Ding Wuling village is surrounded by ponds and bushes, an ideal place for mosquitoes to hide but no mosquitoes is a surprise to visitors.

According to the villagers' explanation, it is the toad-shaped stone at the top of the village that is worshiped by the villagers, many consider it as the embodiment of God Toad, the reason why mosquitoes have not appeared in Dinh Oc Linh for decades. People here think that just flying to the mosquito will be eaten by the stone toad.

 

Some people believe that mosquitoes do not appear in this village because the living habits of local people make mosquitoes have no place to live. Specifically, people here often collect garbage and bury it on the hillside near the village, instead of throwing it indiscriminately.

However, the reasons given above are not really convincing, and the people in the village want scientists to come here to study to discover this mystery. But so far, there is still no answer to make Dinh Oc Linh mosquito-free. This interesting secret along with the fresh, cool and quiet air has helped the village attract tourists to visit.

Dinh Oc Linh village is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. This is the home of the Hakka (Hakka) minority. The houses in the village are built of stone, not cement.
