Microsoft's anti-virus software once again proves that it is not eligible to protect users' computers when it cannot pass the tests of Dennis Technology Labs.
Earlier, Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) also disappointed when there were two failures to pass the AV-Test tests.
Accordingly, Dennis Technology Labs has based on the criteria for accurate virus identification and protection and anti-attack capabilities of antivirus software to evaluate. Regarding the ability to accurately identify viruses, the scale given is from 400 to -1000. MSE only scored 30 points in this test while other antivirus software had a score of 300 or more, especially Norton Internet Security 2013 with a score of 388.5.
Regarding protection and anti-virus, with the highest score of 300 and the lowest of -500, MSE continues to disappoint with -70 points while other antivirus programs reach 250 points to nearly 300 point.
The data also showed that MSE only resisted 59% of threats while the average of other software achieved 92% or more (Trend Micro Internet Security 2013 achieved a perfect score with 100%).
Note that Dennis Technology Labs has included free and paid antivirus software testing. However, this result also shows that MSE is no longer good and experts recommend users to find another alternative antivirus software if they are using MSE.
