How to use the Theme on Windows 10
The theme in Windows is a set of settings, colors, sounds and similar configuration options to determine how the user interface appears. A theme used to personalize the computer environment for ease of use.
All smartphones, tablets, e-book readers and even smart TVs are pre-configured with a specific graphical configuration. Designers choose to install fonts, palettes and default settings. TVs can be turned off after a period of inactivity, for example, or a screen saver can be applied automatically. Users can make changes to these settings to personalize the device. It is quite common for users to select a new background for the phone's lock screen or change the brightness on the e-book reader. Typically, users make these changes the first time they use the device.

These settings, often in a group, are sometimes called a theme. The computer comes with a default theme, and Windows is no exception.
What makes a Windows theme?
Like the technologies listed above, Windows computers come with an existing theme. Many users choose the default configuration during installation or setup and therefore, the most common elements are applied automatically. If changes are made during the setup process, those changes will become part of the saved and edited theme.
Here are a few options that apply to both the Windows theme in general and the Windows 10 theme in particular during setup:
- Desktop image - This is the image displayed on the Desktop. Windows Theme provides a blue screen with white window icon on the right. Windows 10 theme provides desktop image as a person running on a beach and four additional images rotating every 30 minutes.
- Start menu / Color scheme of the Start menu - Windows Theme provides a blue and black theme. Windows 10 theme is gold and black. These colors appear in the window and on the Start menu in different locations. These colors also apply to fonts.
- Audio - Windows and Windows 10 themes use the default Windows audio configuration. Can be changed in the Sound Properties dialog box.
- Mouse and mouse properties - Both Windows and Windows 10 themes provide default mouse property settings. Changes can be made in the Mouse Properties dialog box.
Note : The theme, even the default themes, can be edited. Users can change wallpaper, color, audio and mouse options easily from the Settings window in Personalization Options or another location.
What is not part of the Windows theme?
A theme provides a set of configurable graphics options, as mentioned above. However, not all settings configured for Windows computers are part of the theme and this can be a bit confusing. For example, the location of the taskbar is configurable, although it is not part of the theme. By default it runs at the bottom of the Desktop. When the user changes the topic, the taskbar's location will not change. However, any user can reposition the taskbar by dragging it to another location on the desktop and the operating system will remember that setting and apply after each login.
The interface of the Desktop icon has nothing to do with the theme. These icons are preconfigured to have specific sizes and shapes that make them easy to see but not so large that they occupy the entire desktop area. Although the characteristics of these icons can be changed, those changes are not part of the topic options.
Similarly, the Network icon appears in the taskbar notification area, making connecting to existing networks simpler, but a non-theme installation. This is a system setting and is changed through appropriate system attributes.
These items, although not part of the theme, still apply according to the user's preferences. Settings are stored in the user's profile. User profiles can be stored on the computer or online. When logging in with a Microsoft account, the profile is stored online and applied regardless of which computer the user logs in to.
Note: User profiles include unique settings for users, such as where files are stored by default as well as application installation. The user profile also stores information about how and when the system performs updates and how the Windows firewall is configured.
Function of a theme
Theme exists for two reasons. First, the computer must be preconfigured and ready to use; Any other option is not practical. The setup process may take several hours to complete if the user has to select all available settings before they can use the PC!
Secondly, computers need to meet most users' needs and become eye-catching, from the beginning. Most users do not want to do this themselves. For example, the Start menu has a bright yellow or a light gray background. Graphics settings need to be easy to see and intuitive to use the first time the user turns on the computer.
Discover the available Theme of Windows 10
Although Windows comes with a default Theme, the operating system also provides additional themes to choose from. However, what is available depends on a number of factors, including whether users have downloaded additional themes or made a recent upgrade to the operating system, so it's best to explore. those themes on the computer.
