How to set up child control on Windows 10
These days, it's hard to stop your kids from seeing inappropriate things online. That's why it's so important to set up parental controls on children's computers.
This allows you to block children from viewing adult content and set screen time limits on PC or Xbox. You can also choose to track their online activity to see what pages your child is visiting or trying to visit.
To set up parental controls for your children, you must first create a Microsoft account for them. If your child already has a Microsoft account, you can skip this section and scroll down to how to set up parental controls in Windows 10.
How to set up parental controls in Windows 10
To set up parental controls on a Windows 10 computer, go to family.microsoft.com and sign in. Then find your child's account and click More options > Content restrictions . Then enable the option Block inappropriate websites .
This will prevent your child from viewing any pornography online, across any app, game, and other medium. You can also choose to limit the amount of time they can use your computer or Xbox, track their online activity, ask your kids for permission before buying anything online, and see where they are on the internet. map.

Step 6. Next, set age restrictions for apps, games, and media content. After enabling browsing restrictions, you'll also block your kids from accessing inappropriate apps and games on Windows 10 and Xbox One devices. You can then set age restrictions for apps and games in the above section.
Once you set up content limits, your kids won't be able to access Google Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser other than Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.
If a child tries to open another browser, they will receive a message asking the adult in the family for permission.
And, if a child tries to enter the URL for a website you entered in the Always blocked list , they will get a message that they need to ask an adult in the family to use that site.
Finally, if your child tries to search for inappropriate content on Edge, they'll see a message saying they must change their settings.
Children will not be given the option to change their settings.
How to limit children's screen time in Windows 10
Step 1. Go to family.microsoft.com and click Screen time next to your child's account.
Step 2. Then click the slider under Device limits to set the desired time limit.
Step 3. Next, click the blue bar next to a weekday to set a time limit for that day.
Step 4. Then click Remove to remove the default time limit.
Step 5. Finally, enter your desired time limit and click Save.
After setting limits, you can monitor your child's account.
How to Monitor Your Child's Online Activity in Windows 10
Step 1. Go to family.microsoft.com and click Activity next to your child's account.
Step 2. Then, click the slider next to Activity reporting.
Note : Depending on your child's age, they may first be asked to approve any changes to their account. They will receive an email and must opt-in.
Step 3. You can then allow or block any websites your child has visited or tried to access. You can also view each search query they entered and any apps and games they played. In addition, you can see then which website they visited, how long they played any game or used any application.
