How to Catch Three Regis in Pokemon Emerald
Many Pokémon fans were surprised to realize that the old method of catching Pokémon Regirock, Regice and Registeel cannot be used in the Emerald version. This article will show you how to unlock them in the Pokémon Emerald video game. Please note that you may need to try multiple times to catch these legendary Pokémon.
Unlock legendary Pokémon
Set up your squad. You will need a Pokémon that knows the move Dig, a Relicanth Pokémon at the bottom of your formation, and a Wailord Pokémon at the top of your formation. You may also need a Braille translator because you will encounter many magical signs written in Braille. However, you can continue without reading these words.
Fly to Pacifidlog Town. Since Pacifidlog Town is a town with many rafts and logs floating in the water, you will need to find this location before you can fly to it.
Surf on the water east of Pacifidlog Town. After surfing for quite a while, you will see a water area surrounded by four rocks forming a square on Route 134 (Route 134), where there are many waves and you will be asked if you want to dive ( dive) no. If you have Wailord in your squad, you will be able to dive.
Enter the cave. As soon as you dive down, you will see the cave entrance in front of you. Go through the door, then follow the path provided.
You will follow the path to the bottom of the screen. You will see a large rock in the middle of the screen with some Braille engraved on the bottom. When interacting with the Braille sign, you will be asked if you want to use Dive again with Wailord.
You will emerge in a Chamber that is not flooded.
Run north of the Chamber. You will see another Braille sign.
Use Dig. Open your active Pokémon and use the Dig skill .
You may see a message pop up that says something like "Want to escape from here and return to Underwater?" (want to escape here and return to Underwater?) Make sure you answer "Yes" to continue.
Enter the "Sealed Chamber". When you use Dig, you will find the entrance to the cave. Walk through and you'll see the "Sealed Chamber" in the upper left corner of your screen.
Run north again to the next Braille sign and press A to read it. If you have the Wailord Pokémon at the top of your formation and the Relicanth Pokémon at the bottom, there will be an earthquake and the doors in Regi's place will be opened.
You should definitely save your playing process here so you don't have to waste time reopening the door.
Catch legendary Pokémon
Catch the Pokémon Regirock in Desert Ruins (desert ruins). It is located at the bottom of the desert near the city of Mauville along Route 111.
Go up to the Braille sign on the far north side of the cave and press A to read it. Then take two steps left, then two steps down and use the move Rock Smash .
You should save your progress here before fighting, just in case you don't catch Regirock, there's still another chance.
Catch the Pokémon Regice in the Ruins on Route 105. You will see the words "Island Cave" in the upper left corner of your screen.
Go up to the Braille sign on the north wall and press A to read. Continuously stick close to the wall and go around the entire cave in a counterclockwise direction (you can walk, run or cycle). After going, the wall with the Braille sign will reveal the cave door for you to enter.
You should save your progress here before fighting, just in case you don't catch Regice, there's still another chance.
Regice has the Ice Wind ability that reduces your Pokémon's speed. You can use a Pokémon with the move Yawn to remove this effect.
Catch the Pokémon Registeel in the Ruins on Route 120. You'll find it in the middle of a wet grassland. The words "Ancient Tomb" will appear in the upper left corner of your screen.
Go up to the Braille sign on the north wall and press A to read.
Go to the middle of the room and use the Flash move .
You should save your progress here before fighting, just in case you don't catch Registeel, there's still another chance.
Remember to save your gameplay before turning off the Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS system.
