>>>Microsoft prohibits Firefox from running on Windows 8 RT
Mozilla claims that in Windows RT (Windows 8 for tablets and other devices using ARM chips), other companies' browsers can only operate in the Metro interface. In the "classic" interface, the only browser that users can use is Internet Explorer (IE) developed by Microsoft itself.
In the CNET News interview, a Google representative noted that his company "shared Mozilla's concern about the Windows 8 environment ". The prohibition of third-party browsers, according to him, "is restricting user choices and hindering creativity".

Mozilla's press secretary Asa Dotzler noted that IE's monopoly in the "classic interface" of Windows RT is not the only content Firefox developers need to condemn Microsoft. Dotzler claims that Microsoft has given its browser advantages over other browsers in the Metro interface.
The Metro version of IE has more access to API application programming interfaces than other companies' browsers. As a result, IE will be more capable than its competitors."We are prohibited from developing a browser for the" classic interface "and are not given a browser that is competitive for Metro," Dotzler said.
The problem with the IE browser provided with the Windows operating system was previously noted by US and European antitrust agencies. In 2010, Microsoft was forced to integrate "browser selection window" into the European version of the operating system. This window provides users with 12 products, including Chrome and Firefox.
