Google has just announced the release of 3 new photo apps: Storyboard (Android only), Selfissimo! (available on iOS and Android) and Scrubbies (iOS only). These three apps are a part of the new Appsperiments program that Google initiated.
Inspired by Motion Stills applications, this program was launched last year with the aim of applying technologies in Google's development process and turning it into a practical application.
Like Motion Stills, these three applications are full-featured but are 'built on experimental technology' that Google has been and continues to work on.
The program also has the same part as Microsft's Garage, where Redmond developers create experimental applications in many areas.

Storyboard automatically pulls out 6 frames in the video and puts it on comic-style layout. You can refresh to get new layout and frames. Google says there are more than 1.6 billion ways combined.

Selfissimo! like an automatic black-and-white photo booth on mobile. When you touch the screen, your phone will start taking pictures, capture every styling you change. The basic idea is to save many styles of posing, capture every time you stop moving.

Finally, Scrubbies, allowing DJ-style remixes by dragging and dragging clips to create a video loop.

Three applications are available on iOS and Android. In the future there will be many more apps released under this Appsperiments program.
