Fix broken Ethernet plug

Step 1

Prepare the necessary tools

1. Cable lock tool (optional)
2. Sharp knife
3. Cutting pliers

1. Two strings (small size)

Step 2: Find the right size for tight rope

The tip of the rope must be of adequate width to reach the slot and be easily removed.

To check, insert the tip of the plug into the slot as shown in the figure below. Then pull the rope lightly to check the tightness.

The width of the head is about 4.3mm.

Step 3: Cut the rope

Cut approximately 4.5 cm

Step 4: Cut thin head

Using a sharp knife, cut a thin section at the tip.

Step 5: Bend the tight rope

Bend the rope as shown below

Step 6: Use the second rope

With the second rope, we will use it to fix the first rope.

Step 7: After fixing the first rope

Now you will find it quite interesting, but the job is still there.

Step 8: Make some small adjustments

Adjust the position and bend the No. 1 rope so it can bounce like a spring.
