Feedly is one of the major RSS reader services that benefited after Google Reader closed last year. From noon on June 11 ( Vietnam time ), Feedly's website was not accessible, and users could not read via Feedly application on the phone.

On his blog, Feedly announced that they were attacked by hackers using denial of service (DDoS) . The purpose of hackers is ransom, but Feedly will not give in.

Attackers want us to pay to stop attacks. However, we will not give up, and we are working with network providers to limit the impact of the attack.

By June 12, after more than half a day of being attacked, Feedly's service had returned to normal operation. Feedly indicates that user data is not affected.

Attack and ransom is not a popular form, but it has been happening more and more this year. At the beginning of the year, the Meetup meeting service was attacked and demanded a $ 300 ransom. On June 11, Evernote, a very popular note-taking service, was also stopped briefly. According to Forbes, the Evernote attack is also for ransom purposes.
